Lynn E Tillotson, 95, passed away peacefully at his home on December 27, 2018 surrounded by family. Lynn was born April 4, 1923 in Virginia, Idaho on his parents ranch. He was the fourth of five children born to Ada and Edwin Tillotson. After graduation from Downey High School he enlisted in the Army. He served four years during WWll receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his services. While on furlough he married his high school sweetheart, May Jensen, on March 23, 1945 in Arimo, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 15, 1952. They spent 73 years together. They moved to Pocatello where he built their first house on Griffith Road. He worked for the Physical Plant at ISU for thirty-five years. He has been retired for 34 years. Lynn was active in the LDS church all his life, holding many positions. In 1973, Lynn and May built a cabin at Palisades Reservoir. They spent many wonderful summers there with family and friends. Whether it was his home in town or the cabin property, he always kept his yard immaculate. Lynn was a hunter and fisherman and loved the great outdoors. He instilled this love to his son and daughters. Lynn is survived by his son, Douglas (Robin) Tillotson, Star Valley, Wyoming, son-in-law, Kirk Jensen, McCammon; daughters, Sherry (Scott) Gladson, Sheila (Jerry) Brower and Stacey Rumsey, all of Pocatello; twelve grandchildren, and twenty five great-grandchildren. Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, May; his parents; two brothers, Glen and Willis Tillotson; two sisters, Dorothy Black and Thelma Lish; and two daughters, Sandra Jensen and Shawna Tillotson. Lynn was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We love you Dad and grandpa, and will always cherish our memories of you. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11 am at the LDS chapel, 550 W. Cedar St. Pocatello, ID 83201- Corner of Poole and Cedar St., with a viewing for one hour prior. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
