Lynn Ann Southworth (Zimmerman), 74, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Pocatello, Idaho in the privacy of her home after her long battle with cancer. Born on January 5, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Lynn graduated from Pocatello High School, marking the beginning of a life characterized by resilience and dedication. Her career spanned over five decades, including 35 years at LambWeston and 15 years at the State of Texas Coffield Unit, where she worked as a Correctional Officer.
Known for her strong, stern, yet loving demeanor, Lynn was the matriarch of her family. She and her late husband, Steven Southworth, shared a deep bond, their lives intertwined beautifully for over 40 years until his passing. Together, they raised three children: Tisha, Amy, and Josh. Lynn cherished her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one great-grandchild.
Lynn had a vibrant personality and diverse interests. She was an avid crocheter, a passionate reader, and an excellent cook and baker. Her fascination with the paranormal added a unique layer to her character, and she fondly recalled her younger years spent traveling the Northwest on motorcycles with her husband.
She is survived by her daughters, Tisha Bonney of Boise, Idaho; Amy Southworth of Pocatello, Idaho; and son, Joshua Southworth (Jennifer) of San Marcos, Texas.; grandchildren; great-grandchild; sister, Jacklyn (Robert) Mills of Pocatello, ID; and sister, Chery Cerise of California. Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven, her brother-in-law, Robert Mills, and her parents, Billyjack and Grace Zimmerman.
Lynn's legacy is marked not only by her commitment to her family and career but also by the enduring love and guidance she provided. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
