Lucy King

Lucy King, 63, passed away, December 15, 2024 at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. 

She was born and raised in Colonia Dublan, Mexico to Chato and Ora Bluth. She was the youngest of 5 children; Tito, Yvonne, Bobe, Andre, then Lucy. She grew up running barefoot on the family farm on Dublan and enjoyed visits to Mtn. Ranch in Colonia Pacheco. She was a basketball all-star and came to the States to attend college at Mesa Community College and BYU. 

On April 29, 1982, Lucy married Corey King in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. They raised 5 children together: Courtney, Chelsea, Marci, Kendal and Aubrey.

Lucy’s life centered around her family. She loved traveling to visit her kids and their families. She loved family dance parties and cooking her family’s favorite foods, particularly beans and rice, enchiladas, and other foods from her childhood. She loved practicing and performing family musical numbers and playing the piano. She enjoyed playing with her grandkids, paddleboarding, camping, and gardening. She also spent time attending the temple.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Corey R. King of Chubbuck, ID; children, Courtney Kleinman of Prescott Valley, AZ; Chelsea Kingston of Mayer, MN; Marci King of Frederick, CO; Kendal B. King of Eagle Mtn., UT; Aubrey Harrison of Fountain, CO; and 11 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gayle Bluth; mother, Ora Lunt; and brother, Andre Bluth.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the LDS Church at 450 James Ave, Chubbuck, ID. A viewing will be held from 9:30- 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Mountain View Cemetery.
