Lucille Ruth Higley

Lucille Ruth Ashcraft Higley, died at her daughter’s home on October 21, 2022 at the age of 87. She was born April 28, 1935 in Teton City, Idaho to Vernia Gleason Ashcraft and Verna Catharine Bingham Ashcraft. She was the 8th of 10 children and lived in Teton until she moved to Salt Lake City in 1956.

Lucille moved back to Idaho after her marriage to Alfred Ervin Higley living in Pocatello and Blackrock.

She graduated from Teton Grade School and South Fremont High School in St. Anthony, Idaho in 1953. Lucille loved puzzles and the Utah Jazz.

Lucille is survived by 2 brothers, Reed Ashcraft of Wilford, Idaho, and Lawrence Ashcraft of Salt Lake City, Utah; 5 children, Michael E Higley of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Brian J Higley of Longmont, Colorado, A Dean Higley of Inkom, Idaho, Brenda Vansickle of Pocatello, Idaho, and Linda Bagley of Riverton, Utah. She is also survived by 18 of her 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the LDS church, 2271 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho with funeral services to follow starting at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery, Teton, Idaho.
