POCATELLO - Lucille Jensen Ward Pattan, 79, of Pocatello, passed away on Wednesday, Feburary 1, 2012, at a local care facility. She was born on September 29, 1932, in Heyburn, Idaho, the second of four children of Howard Burdell and Lola Wilcox Jensen. She married Gale Robert Ward. They had four children: Michael, Ronald, Robert, and Kathleen. They were married for 29 years and later divorced. She later met Wayne Pattan and they were married June 17, 1986. He preceded her in death in 2000. Lucille was a conservative person and enjoyed life. She was very musically talented and played piano and mandolin for the Old Time Fiddlers. She was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers with both her husband Gail and her husband Wayne for at least 45 years. They played at state fairs, parades, nursing homes, senior centers, grand openings, and anywhere you would see the Old Time Fiddlers. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was involved in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She liked to do handicrafts like crocheting, painting, embroidery, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She traveled to many local points of interest in the Northwest, including Mount St. Helen's and Mount Rushmore. She never spoke ill of others and always tried to be positive. She collected spoons from all over the country and she like to collect Christmas teddy bears. She is survived by her son Michael (Linda) Ward of Pocatello; Ron (Malinda) Ward of Inkom; son Brent Ward of Malta, ID; daughter Kathleen Ward of Pocatello; brother Reed (Laurel) Jensen of American Fork, UT; sister Loretta (Evan) Merrill of Bountiful, UT; step-children Gary (Denise) Pattan of Boise, Gloria (Dave) Cobia of Pocatello, Linda Strawn of Pocatello, Kenneth (Cheryl) Pattan of Medford, OR; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne, and sister Colleen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Pocatello 29th Ward Chapel, 1700 Kinghorn, Pocatello. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the church on Kinghorn, and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home (208) 233-1500.
