Lucile Lowder

August 14, 1927 — June 3, 2021

Lucile Lowder passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family June 3rd, 2021.

Lucile was the only child of J.C. Williams and Lilly Mae Miles on August 14th, 1927. Lucile married the love of her life Justin Lowder May 13th, 1945 in Grantsville, Utah. Justin and Lucile later moved to southeastern Idaho and had two children together Clarence and Justina.

Clarence had two daughters MerriJane and Holly who married Joshua Owens and together they have four children and reside in southeast Idaho. Justina married Jim Maurer and together they have two children, Tara and Patrick who currently also reside in Washington with them.

Lucile was well known within the community where she lived most of her adult life in the real estate and rental businesses. She was engaged and involved in business throughout her life, long before women were allowed to hold and maintain many of the roles she successfully held.

Lucile was an example of bravery and courage and had a unique forward thinking ability that allowed her to take risks and step out of traditional roles, inspiring others throughout her life. Lucile was dedicated and highly involved with her husband, children grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and interests throughout her life. Lucile was often described by those who knew her best as being talented, driven, hardworking, independent and strong. For those of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her we knew her not only for her independence and strength but also for her fierce love and loyalty that was all encompassing.

Lucile remained quick witted with a great sense of humor and was sharp and clear of mind throughout the entirety of her life. She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly. Lucile was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Justin Lowder, her parents Lilly and J.C. Williams, her son Clarence Lowder and two of her great granddaughters Alexis and Scarlett Owens.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID 83205
