Luann Briscoe

LuAnn Briscoe, 56, of Layton, Utah passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012. She was born June 27, 1956 in Pocatello, Idaho daughter of Jay and Betty Briscoe. She was the oldest and Greg, Brian, Kristi and Allyson followed. LuAnn attended school and participated in a modified curriculum. When she got a little older and was able, she participated in Special Olympics. She entered the broad jump, swimming, and bowling events and was thrilled to receive a medal. LuAnn also was a member of special mutual at church where she was active in many productions. She was employed at Enable Industries (a sheltered workshop). She was so proud that she was gainfully employed and loved to go to work and get a paycheck for work she had done. LuAnn was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to color, do crossword puzzles, she knew the TV guide backward and forwards, and kept track of all the family birthdays. She was a daddy's girl and would happily introduce him to her friends. She is survived by her father, Jay Briscoe, Portage, Utah, two brothers, Greg (JoAnn) Briscoe, Japan, Brian (Linnea) Briscoe, St. Peters, Missouri, two sisters, Kristi (Raymond) Galloway, Nibley, Utah, and Allyson (Brett) Cragun, Syracuse, Utah and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty and a niece Hillary. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, at the LDS Lakeview Ward, 2510 N. Church St. Layton, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday evening at the church and from 10:30 until 11:30 prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Portage Cemetery, Portage, Utah. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello.
