Loyd J. Cook, 73, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center from natural causes. He was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Loyd married Carol A. Linford Andersen on April 5, 1968 at the Central Christian Church in Pocatello. Loyd worked as a surveyor by trade, he worked at Bannock Paving, on the Teton Dam, and served as fire support for wild fire crews. He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Union, and VFW. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Loyd enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and camping with his best friends, Lyle Craven, De Verl Evans, and Larry Labbee. Loyd is survived by his daughters, Teri (Bill), Tammy (Joe) Lord, Cindy (Pace) Clyncke; son, Larry (Pati) Andersen; sister, Alene Cook; brothers, Elroy (Judy) Cook, and Boyd (Sheryl) Cook; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Cook; father, Delbert Cook; mother, Fay Cook; nephew, Jason Cook; and good friend, Lyle Craven. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204 with Military Honors.
