Loucile Elizabeth "Beth" Miner, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Beth was born on May 19, 1951, in Wendell, Idaho, a daughter of Loucile and Ephraim Davis. She was raised in Glenns Ferry and graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1970. She attended Idaho State University College of Technology and received a certificate in secretarial occupations.
Beth was an Administrative Assistant at Idaho State University in the Office of Associated Students, Bookstore, College of Business, Alumni Relations, and College of Education. She loved the students at Idaho State and after 37 years of service, she retired in 2011.
On June 7, 1975, she married Carey Miner and they began their new life together living in Pocatello. Beth treasured spending time with her two boys and especially her grandchildren. She also cherished her many friends and never met a stranger. She was an avid reader and would sneak a chapter in as often as possible. In the summer, she enjoyed spending time in Island Park at their cabin.
Beth is survived by her loving husband, Carey and her children, Richard (Jamie) of Hyrum, Utah, and Ryan (Tenille) of Pocatello, Idaho; five grandchildren, Samantha, Hailey, Abby, Lucas, and Camryn; two sisters, Loraine (Michael) Arrillaga, and Beverly (Russell) Sion; two brothers, Ed (Debbie) Poppleton and Sam Blackwell; one sister-in-law, Ann Rodriguez; two brothers-in-law, Steven (Kathy) Miner and David (Brenda) Miner; four nephews; and five nieces.
As one niece stated, "Aunt Beth was such a sweet spirit and kind soul."
