Lorraine Papetti

Lorraine Papetti, 84, of Pocatello, passed away, June 14, 2022.

Lorraine was born June 26, 1937 in Spanaway, Washington to William Owen Allphin and Marie Corsi. The family then moved to Idaho and Lorraine grew up primarily in the Magic Valley.

Lorraine married Virgil R. Papetti in 1954, to this union three children were born, Virgil, Mary, and Treno. Lorraine and Virgil moved to Pocatello in 1960 and she remained a resident of Pocatello until her death. Virgil passed away in 1963. Lorraine then married Don French in 1984, they later divorced in 1994.

Lorraine worked at Lamb Weston and retired in 2002. She enjoyed watching classic movies and listening to classic country music. She also enjoyed playing games on her iPad. Family was everything to Lorraine and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Elegant Living and the hospice care workers who care for Lorraine in her final years.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Virgil O. (Rhonda) Papetti of Pocatello, Mary (Dick) Newton of Pocatello, and Treno Papetti of Kapolei, HI; grandchildren, Melissa Boyce of Wellington, FL, Devin Papetti of Pocatello, Hannah (Jake) Deihl of South Bend, IN, and Katie (Pablo) Gutierrez of Grand Blanc, MI; and brothers, Richard (Viola) Allphin of Jerome, and Robert Allphin of Burley; and two great granddaughters, Ozzlyn and Sierra Boyce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Allphin; husbands, Virgil R. Papetti and Don French and eight siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
