Lori K. Freeman

Lori Kay Freeman, 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in Pocatello, Idaho due to complications from surgery. Lori was born on November 6, 1953 in a maternity home in Rigby, Idaho to Lorin Robert Briggs and Wilma Kay Glenn. She attended Kindergarten through 12 grades in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School.

She met Larry Freeman and they were married on February 21, 1975. They were later sealed in the temple on July 25, 1980. After marrying Larry Freeman they lived in Ririe, Idaho until 1986 when Larry's job transferred them to Jerome, Idaho. A series of transfers would see them move in 1987 to Mt. Vernon Washington. One year later they moved to Palmer, Alaska; then in 1990 they moved back to Idaho Falls; 1991 they moved to Laramie, Wyoming; and finally in 1996 they moved to Pocatello where they have lived since.

Lori enjoyed the experiences of living in so many places and making lots of friends. However, she was extremely happy to be back in East Idaho close to her family. Both of her children and all of her grandchildren have remained in Pocatello as well.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and bowling.

Lori is survived by: her husband, Larry Freeman of Pocatello; mother, Kay Briggs of Rigby, Idaho; children, Rob (Tiffany) Freeman of Pocatello; Sylvia Freeman of Pocatello; brother, Todd Briggs of Boise; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lorin Briggs and brother, Ty Briggs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2140 Satterfield Drive in Pocatello. A viewing will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment will follow services on Monday at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
