Lorena Beatrice Torcasso (aka Lorena Kosloski, aka Lorena Mace) of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away suddenly and peacefully on September 16, 2015 She was 83 years old.
She was born Lorena Beatrice Waldecker to Walter and Genoa (Torcasso) Waldecker on November 26, 1931, in Coalgate, OK. She attended Globe High School in Globe, AZ, and eventually she went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah. She worked as a teacher of art for many years and loved helping others discover their gifts. Painting was her passion but she also enjoyed sewing and knitting. One of her greatest delights was making clothes for the people she loved, especially her grandchildren.
Lorena is survived by her children: Raymond Kosloski/Grace (Krag) Kosloski, Leonard Kosloski/Treva (Pittam) Kosloski, and Linda (Kosloski) Zellmer; ex-husband and best friend Frank Mace; 6 grandchildren: Scheree, Jacqueline, Jason, Sophia, Tyler, and Paige; plus 2 (almost 3) great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two oldest children: Kenneth J. Kosloski and Virginia Jo (Kosloski) Bayse; by her parents and siblings: Clara Jo, Alice Joy, Margaret D., and Walter Jr. (Sonny).
Lorena loved life and cared deeply for people. She always took the time to get to know and share her life with those she encountered. She was loving to everyone and always a lot of fun to be around.
She will be dearly missed.
