Loral Wells

June 22, 1934 — March 29, 2020

Loral was called home by the Lord on March 29, 2020, at the Veteran's Home in Pocatello, Idaho.
Loral was born to Doyal and Valean Bowden on June 22, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho. She was the third of eight children.
Loral attended schools at Tyhee and Pocatello. She was proud to earn her GED from Idaho State University in 1999 at the age of 65.
Loral worked for and retired from Lamb Weston in American Falls, Idaho after 20 years.
In 1950 Loral went on a blind date with a sailor, Paul Wells. They met at Pocatello's Deleta Skating Rink. She often blushed and always smiled when she described how handsome he was in his uniform. It was love at first sight. They married April 21, 1951 and at the time of Paul's passing, they had been married 67 years. Loral and Paul were blessed to be the parents of eight children; David, LaWana, Regie, Shawna, Marinda, Keith, Cherie and Daniel.
Their blessings continued to grow with 20 grandchildren; Briley, April, Tony, Toby, Eugene, Lorinda, Oriana, Rhett, Penny, Tanaya, Ryan, Kenneth, Mindy, Tiffany, Derek, Josh, Tabitha, Eric, Skylar, and Tenisha. They have 50 great-grandchildren with one on the way, 4 great-great-grandchildren with another one due in November. Loral's first great-grandchild was named after her, her fist great-great-grandchild was given her middle name, carrying on a family tradition.
Loral's family loved and adored her. She always beat us at cards and dice. She had a large pair of dice, "arthritis dice" that she handed her grandkids to play with as we aged. Oh, how she would laugh.
She held our hands, shared her stories, love, knowledge and wisdom. She showed us with an unbreakable faith, you can withstand any strom.
Loral was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In her younger years she taught Sunday School. Loral went through the Temple with her Mother, sisters and many family members.
Loral was preceeded in death by her parents; siblings Rea, Dale and Dawayne, her husband Paul, her daughters, Cherie and Shawna, her sons, Keith and David and grandson Eugene. She is survived by four siblings, four children, her large family and many friends.
A graveside service will still be held at a later date.
