Lonny Eugene York

Lonny York was born September 22, 1970 to George and Leigh York in Pocatello, Idaho. He attended Wilcox Elementary. Hawthorne Junior High and a high school in Hyrum, Utah for a year.

Lonny worked at Gossner’s Cheese near Logan, Utah; a janitor job in Jackpot, Nevada; and worked many, many years for the City of Pocatello Parks & Rec. Dept. until his passing away too early at the age of 52 on September 25, 2022. He will be sorely missed. Lonny, as said by some, was an “experience”.

Lonny never married and didn’t have any children. Karen Wall was his best friend for many, many years.

Lonny was in the Pocatello Chapter of the Idaho Motorcycle Club during his parents membership.

Lonny enjoyed camping and motorcycles. Knife and sword collecting were his main interests. He loved working on cars, helping people out and fire pits nights, as well as doing some hunting and fishing. Lonny loved his pet cat “Smokey”.

Lonny is survived by his older brother Eric “Shawn” York, Pocatello, Idaho; a few aunts and uncles and many cousins. He is also survived by his niece and nephew Ryan and Abigail York.

Lonny was preceded in death by his grandparents Jess and Marjorie Ellis; Alex and Beatrice York; his parents, George and Leigh York; and his nephew Jonathan Maxwell York.
