Lonny Dean LeClair July 6, 1948 to July 2, 2018 Lonny passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2018. He will be taken to his residence West Five mile Sheepskin Road on Wednesday July 4th at 10 AM until Friday July 6th. He was born July 6, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho; son of the late Herbert and Dorothy Calico LeClair.

He attended school in Fort Hall and Blackfoot. Lonny was a lifelong resident of Fort Hall, Idaho and a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe. Lonny married Virgilena Stone LeClair. Lonny served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War from November 3, 1969 to February 20, 1970. After his honorable discharge, he and Virgilena made their home at the bottoms of Fort Hall. Lonny enjoyed horseback riding, the yearly branding, hunting, fishing, camping, salmon fishing, being outdoors and the occasional trip to the casino.

Lonny was a member of the Fort Hall Veterans Memorial Park board trying to restore the Veteran's Memorial. Lonny worked with the Shoshone Bannock Tribes Water Resource Department.

Lonny is survived by and will be missed by his sisters Charlene (late Alfred) Ignacio, LeMoore, CA; Florenda LeClair (Wayland Ballard), Yakima, WA; Diane LeClair, Fort Hall; Ruby Bernal, Ogden, UT; aunts, and cousins, neices Sherry Neaman of White Swan, WA, Lucy Neaman, Kendra (Thayne) Wathomy, Shirley LeClair-Bernal; nephews Desmond LeClair, Stephen (Kenzie) LeClair-Bernal of Cherry Point, NC, and Kordell Meninick, Toppenish, WA, in-laws and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgilena, his father and mother, Herbert and Dorothy Calico LeClair, sisters Shirley Ann LeClair Small, Virginia Lou LeClair, Theresa Jean LeClair, a brother LeRoy LeClair, a nephew LaDale LeClair; two aunts, grandparents and great-grandparents, Leon and Minnie Gun Calico.

Traditional Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday July 6, 2018 proceeding to the Gibson Cemetery immediately after the service.
