Lonnie Lowder

June 1, 1956 — December 11, 2011

Lonnie Frank Lowder, age 55 of Jerome, Idaho and formally from the Pocatello area passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 11, 2011.

He was born June 1, 1956, in Pocatello, Idaho and the son of Carol Jean Jensen and Frank Pulos. Lonnie attended school in the Pocatello area and Sacramento California. He was blessed with the gift to gab filled with one-liners. Because of this wonderful gift, he had many successful occupations and businesses throughout his short time on earth. He was a tire changer, railroad track foreman, police officer, plumber, truck driver, race horse trainer, bar owner and hay broker.

He was married to Tina Lowder for a wonderful 14 years and he got to finally take his honeymoon in Hawaii a week before his passing. Lonnie's pride and joy was his family and insisted that we all spend the holidays as a family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was blessed with two sons, Jack and Casey Lowder and three daughters, Brandi Turnipseed, Brittany Miller, and Georgia Harmon.

His sudden departure was true with his racing spirit. He was a racer at heart and we are certain that he will arrive in heaven in style with his hot pink and blue racing colors. He loved racing horses, drag cars, sprint cars, and most recently stock cars. In his time away from racing, he loved fishing trips with his family and rock and roll music.

Lonnie is survived by his wife Tina Lowder; Son Jack (Renee) Lowder; daughters Brandi (Garth) Turnipseed, Brittany (Dustin) Miller, Georgia (Riley Smith) Harmon; grandkids Madison “Punky” Miller, Macy “the Rocket” Miller, Delaney “Bug” Lowder, Gage “Big Guy” Lowder, and Adalae “Baby Girl” Harmon; Mother Carol Lowder; and siblings Janna, Karen, Donald, Elizabeth, Brandi, Mary, Frank Jr and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Dan D. Pulos and Erini Kordyani-Pulos, grandparents Janna Franciska Jensen and Ejnar Kjeidgaard Jensen, Father Frank Pulos and son Casey Lowder.

We know you were greeted in Heaven by Casey and we can only imagine the wild times the two of you are already having. “Papa- we will miss you and love you for infinity and beyond. You know what I mean?”
