POCATELLO - Lola Tripp Shipley 88, of Pocatello, passed away at her home on March 15, 2011. She was born January 17,1923 in Pocatello Idaho to Jessie Earl Tripp and Naomi Raymond. She graduated from Pocatello High School. She began her career at Mutual Life and later transferred to Kraft Foods were she retired from the position of Head of Distribution. She was a loving mother to her only son Allan Dean Shipley and his wife Kathleen of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Lola had three granddaughters and one grandson, Tamara Creager and her husband Marcus, Kari Lowinske and her husband Heath, Angela Slinden and her husband Pete, Daniel Standish and his wife Kimbelye all of Rock Springs, Wyoming. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Tripp and his wife LaRae, of Pocatello, Idaho. Lola had nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her very loved dog companion Pompi. Her dedicated niece Sandy and her husband Eddie Johnson also survive Lola. She leaves behind many other family members who will greatly miss this extraordinary woman. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dale Shipley. She was an avid gardener and was known for her delicious jams and pies. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Lola was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a graveside service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 3:00pm.
