Logan Robinson

Logan Dean Robinson was born on October 19, 1939 in American Falls, Idaho. He was received back home into his loving Heavenly Fathers arms on May 11, 2017. Logan spent his youth on his family farm in Rockland, Idaho. He loved Rockland. He had many friends and loved-ones that influenced his life over the years. At an early age he worked side by side with members of his family on the farm. He started driving a tractor at the age of eight. Many years of his life were spent on a tractor and he loved all of them. When his dad went to work for the railroad in the mid 50's, Logan, and his older sister, Jolene, took over most of the farming responsibilities. He was taught to work hard and many of the farmers in the area would employee Logan for summer work. This skill learned at an early age would prove to be one of his greatest attributes in life. He later moved to Pocatello where he was employed at Forde Johnson truck stop as an attendant, and also at Frontier truck stop. His love for automobile and diesel mechanics was fueled by these experiences. He attended Idaho State University receiving his diesel, auto mechanics and industrial arts degrees. Logan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a full time mission for the church in 1961. He loved his call and made many long lasting friendships there. Over the years he served in many callings including the bishopric of the 40th ward, Stake and ward clerk and years of Doctrine gospel teaching. Logan loved the scriptures and had a wonderful knowledge of verses and knew many of them by heart. He loved the Lord and the church. He wanted his family to share in his testimony of God and the principle of Eternal Families. After his mission he attended Utah State University where he enjoyed his fraternity brothers of the Delta Phi and graduated with a bachelor's degree, majoring in history, and minoring in political science. Logan was highly motivated to learn. He was known to give this advice... "Use your mind and not your body so you can make money while youre sleeping." This is great advice for everyone! In February of 1990 he married the love of his life Rebecca Anderson. They have spent 27 loving years together. Logan along with his brother Ricky Robinson began a partnership in 1967. This year marks their 50th year in a successful partnership. Their many endeavors included a janitorial service along with property ownership and management. Logan helped found the Apartment Owners Association. He was an advocate for tax payer's rights. Logan is survived by his wife, Becky Robinson; sons, Steven Robinson (Karen) of Windham, New Hampshire, Eric Jones (Selina) of Pocatello, Idaho; daughters, Asenath Tubbs, of Chubbuck, Idaho, Melissa Mollett (Chris) of Pocatello, Idaho; 7 grandchildren, Jacob and Kira Jones, Hannah and Katelyn Robinson, Thanessa Tubbs and James and Landon Mollett; and brother, Ricky Robinson (Shalene) of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his father, Nello Quincy Robinson; mother, Esther York Robinson; brother, Jack Duane Robinson; and sister, Jolene Katherine Hutchinson. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11 am at the LDS Century Ward Chapel, 2271 S. 4th Ave. (Fredregill Rd.) Pocatello, with a visitation for one hour prior. Burial will be in the Rockland, ID Cemetery.
