POCATELLO, IDAHO - Ovid Lloyd Teel, 85, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at a local care facility on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Lloyd was born March 14, 1930 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Leonard Leroy and Pearl Agnes (Dicks) Teel.
Following high school, Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948. He did his part in carrying forward the family tradition of service in the Navy; he, his father and four sons all served in the U.S. Navy. His service was spent in California. While there, he met Norma Jean Henney and they were married. After five years, they had four sons. In 1952, he was released from his military service. A short time later, his marriage failed and he moved to Alaska to be close to his parents. He met Nancy and in 1983 he retired and moved to Idaho.
Lloyd loved fishing, camping, and hunting.
The family of Lloyd Teel wishes to express their gratitude to all his medical providers, Highland Hills, Heritage Home Health and Hospice, and Wilks Funeral Home for making things easier for them.
