Linda Harmon Johnson, 63, passed away a Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, following a sudden illness. Linda was born November 18, 1947 in Afton, Wyoming, to Boyd B. and Venna Merritt Harmon. She attended schools in South Weber, Sunset and Clearfield High School, all in Utah. She married Rodney B. Johnson March 19, 1965. Rod passed away June 6, 2008. She has lived in the Pocatello area since 1975. Linda was currently employed at U-Joint Auto Parts as a bookkeeper. In years past she had also owned The Cleaning Company which kept her particularly busy at United Parcel Service. She enjoyed reading, gardening, singing, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and service to others. Linda was always present at all the children's activities cheering them on. She welcomed all the kids' friends into her home sharing popsicles, soda and cookies, just as any grandma would. She is famous for saying her grandchildren were "not spoiled, just well-loved." She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was currently serving as the Relief Society President in the 7 th Ward of the Alameda Stake. She also participated in the ward choir and loved her turn to help clean the building. Linda is survived by three children, Blaine (Cheri) Johnson, Concord California; Janet Christensen, Chubbuck Idaho; Brian Johnson, Pocatello, Idaho; a sister Judy (Jimmie) Beaver, Missouri; a brother, Brad (Sharyn) Harmon, Utah; grandchildren: Amanda (John) Moser, Pocatello; Elder Dakota Christensen, California San Bernardino Mission; Brittney Harris Johnson; Pocatello; Dalton Christensen, Chubbuck; Chantry Christensen, Chubbuck; Christopher Hicks, Pocatello; 5 great-grandchildren, Gairimiah, Brooklynn, Hanna, Tayah and Layla. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Rod, her parents and her grandson Randon Johnson. Memorial Services for Linda will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the LDS Alameda Stake Center located at 930 East Alameda. There will be no visitation at her request.
