Linda Gail Aldridge

April 4, 1953 — October 17, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Gail Aldridge on October 17, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas, and her journey through life led her to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and later to Indianapolis, Indiana. In her final years, she relocated to Boise, Idaho, to be close to her only son.

As the cherished and only child of her parents, she lived a life defined by dedication and a passion for helping others. For over three decades, she dedicated her career to the Social Security Administration working to ensure the welfare of countless individuals.

Her pursuit of knowledge and compassion for others led her to Louisiana State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. This achievement was a testament to her determination and intellectual curiosity.

She married David Lamar Aldridge, their paths later diverged.

Playing the piano, she found joy in music. She loved animals, particularly her son's three beloved dogs. As a lifelong advocate for education, she devoted herself to helping and teaching children through tutoring. In honor of her commitment to education she made a selfless decision to donate her body to science, furthering medical research and benefiting future generations.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the "Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge," a dog rescue organization she held close to her heart. www.fotabr.org/donate
