Leonard Okesson

Leonard Lee O’Kesson, 58, passed away, February 27, 2022 at his home in Fort Hall.


Leonard was born on Labor Day, September 7, 1963 to James B. Okesson and Velma Kay Fulton Okesson.


Leo graduated from Highland High School in 1982.


On February 14, 2020 he married Michelle Phillips.


Leo enjoyed stock car racing, wrestling, bowling, go karts, and going to yard sales and auctions. He loved fishing and camping, and singing, especially country music.


Leo is survived by his wife, Michelle Phillips-O’Kesson of Fort Hall; mother, Kay Sievers of Fort Hall; son, John Carson of Chubbuck; sisters, Kaylene (Evan) Currence and Angela O’Kesson  both of Pocatello; nieces, Danna Currence, Amanda Currence, and Caitlyn Currence all of Pocatello; great nephews, Lucas Chlarson, Donovan Chlarson, and Kellen Chlarson all of Pocatello; great niece, Karen Brady of Pocatello;  and grandchildren, Lycaine Moser, and Leilani Carson both of Chubbuck.


He was preceded in death by his father, James B. O’Kesson; great niece, Brittney Chlarson; grandmothers, Florence O’Kesson and May Phelps; three great aunts; four great uncles; two uncles; and several cousins.
