Leo Steven Yocum passed away suddenly on March 15, 2018. Leo was born September 30, 1980 in Rexburg, Idaho to Marlene Elgaaen and Steven Yocum.
Leo made his home in Pocatello, Idaho after living in Rexburg, Idaho, Tualatin, Oregon, Smithfield, Layton, and Roy, Utah.
Leo was an excellent craftsman doing floor covering and tile work. He was good at repairs and fixing things.
Leo met the love of his life, Daphne, at age 8. After losing track of each other, they later reunited and spent the last 5 years together.
Leo was an intelligent individual and received his GED after not studying, yet scoring in the 90th percentile in 3 subjects. He had a passion for loving and caring for his family. Leo was an amazing son and brother. He was a patient, kind and loving father. Leo was also a good neighbor and friend to many.
Leo had an avid passion for guns and was a weapon enthusiast, both for building them and shooting. He was an excellent marksman. Leo also loved studying about history, reading and working on Dodge trucks, especially his.
Leo is survived by the love of his life, Daphne Altom; mother Marlene (David) Elgaaen; his two father figures in his life Steven Yocum of Eugene, OR and Dean Trumbull of Pocatello, ID; brothers Joshua (Jennifer) Yocum of Tappahannock, VA and Bryce (Su'Yi) Yocum of Roy, UT; sisters Jana (Kevin) Olson of Creswell, OR and Stacy (Jason) Touse of Clearfield, UT; and his children Gauge, Garen, Terrance, Kelsey, Jayden and Leo.
Leo was an amazing person. He is dearly loved by family and friends. He will be missed by all of us.

A viewing will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at the Falls View Cemetery, 2999 Kingdom Hall Road. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family under the "Tribute Wall" tab above.
