Lee Elwood Mellotte, 73, passed away at his home following an extended illness in the morning hours of Thursday, August 22, 2013.
Lee was born May 16, 1940 in Clayton, Idaho to William O. and Laura Allene (Tweedie) Mellotte and grew up in Moore, Idaho. He graduated from Butte High School in 1958. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy and honorably served his country for four years. He was a partner at a barbershop in Seattle for four years. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1974 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He then specialized in outdoor advertising throughout the Pacific Northwest until his retirement in 2002. It was then that he moved to Pocatello.
Lee married his sweetheart, Beverly Dyson in December 1962 in Seattle, Washington. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2012.
Lee liked to ride motorcycles and wander aimlessly in his jeep in the mountains. He loved golf and enjoyed playing many different courses in the Northwestern States. He also enjoyed telling exaggerated stories about incidents in his life which always entertained his family and friends.
Lee is survived by his wife, Beverly Mellotte, Pocatello, ID; son, Heath (Rachel) Mellotte, Camas, WA; granddaughter, Monique Mellotte, Camas, WA; grandson, Colby Mellotte, Camas, WA; sisters, Jessie Bell, Pocatello, ID; Peggy (LaRon) Reynolds, Mesa, AZ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Allene Mellotte; and a brother-in-law, Harold W. Bell.
Lee's family suggests memorial contributions be made in his name to the charity and organization of your choice and preference.
