Lee Allen Cranor, 74, passed away on February 14, 2025. He was born on September 18, 1950, to Carson and Monta Hill Cranor. He had five siblings, four brothers and one sister.
Lee graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969 then joined the US Navy on March 1, 1970. He served in the Vietnam War spending his time on 4 different ships. The USS Keppler D.D. 765, the USS Richmond K Turner DLG-20, the USS Canberra CA-70, and the USS Francis Hammond DE-1067. He was honorably discharged on March 2, 1973.
On April 22, 1978, he married Mary Donette Mitchell Cowan Cranor. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2019.
Lee worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Carman for 30 years, retiring on September 30, 2010.
Lee loved woodworking, hunting and fishing. He wrestled, played baseball, and ran track while in high school.
He loved his family and was a great friend. He was also a great caregiver and cared for his father-in-law, his mother-in-law, his mother, his aunt, and his wife.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister; his wife, Mary Cranor; and son, Adam Don Cranor.
He is survived by two brothers, Glen and Bruce Cranor; son, Lee James Cranor; and stepson, John Ray Cowan.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 South 5th Avenue, Row 50 Pocatello, ID.
