Lavaudis "Jeri" Pieper Jensen

d. December 26, 2017

LaVaudis "Jeri" Panter Pieper-Jensen, 82, passed away December 26, 2017 at a medical center in Pocatello, Idaho. Jeri was born February 18, 1935 in Mound Valley, Idaho to Kenneth and Thora Panter. They lived in Mound Valley on the family farm until she was five years old when the family moved to Dayton, Idaho. She attended Westside School until she was fifteen years old. Her father sold the farm and they moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she graduated from Pocatello High School. Jeri married George Pieper on June 1, 1961. Their marriage was later solemnized, and their children sealed to them, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 26, 1965. Jeri and George had 5 children: Kim Pieper, Desiree (Mike) Butterfield, Mike (Donna) Pieper, Lisa (Willis) Norton, and Julie (Rob) Troxler. Jeris 17 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren were the loves of her life! Jeri and George purchased Jumbos restaurant in 1962. Jumbos was a very successful business for over 40 years. They made many lifelong friends through their time at Jumbos. LDS missionaries loved going to the restaurant knowing that Jeri loved to feed and visit with them. She hosted many Thanksgiving dinners at Jumbos open to anyone who had nowhere to go. George passed away in January 2002. Jeri later retired from the restaurant after marrying Ross Jensen on November 25, 2007. Jeri adored Ross son Clint (Kelli) Jensen and his two grandchildren, Rachel and Josh. Jeri and Ross wintered in Parker, Arizona until 2014 when she decided she enjoyed being closer to her family and friends. They often traveled to Mackay to enjoy fun times with friends. They loved joining friends every morning at the local mall and going out to dinner in the evening. Our mom was the most wonderful, selfless, generous person who always helped anyone in need! She loved life and enjoyed any social event. She loved her church, time spent serving in the temple, and her special time spent visiting teaching. We will miss you so much mom and love you forever! Kim, Desiree, Mike, Lisa and Julie. LaVaudis was preceded in death by George; her parents; two brothers, Dale Panter and Garth Panter; a sister-in-law; and a brother-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Ross Jensen; sister, Kliss Madrid; all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
