Laura Capell

On the morning of December 2, 2015 Laura June Siler Capell passed away, by her mother's side, shortly after giving birth to her daughter, Gracey. She was 36 years old. Laura was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 19, 1979 she was the third child of Marvin Paul Siler and Julie Ann Robinson Siler. While growing up in Inkom, Idaho, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing in the creek, picking chokecherries, and sleeping under the stars. She attended Inkom Elementary School, Marsh Valley Middle School and Marsh Valley High School. In high school Laura enjoyed participating in band, playing soccer, spending time with friends and attending dances. Laura attended Idaho State University where she played in the marching band and enjoyed a variety of classes including racquetball, swimming, kayaking, and steel drum band. Laura belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. In 2004, Laura married Brett Capell. They enjoyed the outdoors and traveling for many years. They welcomed a daughter, Kealey, to their family in 2008. They were later divorced. A son, Ayden, was born to Matthew Naegele and Laura in 2013. Laura spent the majority of her adult life working as an Executive Assistant Manager at Walgreens. Her coworkers there were like a second family to her. She had several hobbies including traveling, hunting, fishing, baseball photography and music. Laura was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend who had a heart of gold. She was very giving of herself, always putting others first. Her smile was contagious and she had a laugh that stood out in a crowd. In addition, her fun loving sense of humor always put a smile on the face of others. Laura is survived by her parents, Marvin & Julie Siler, Inkom, ID; siblings, Lisa (Ben) Hopkins, Pocatello, Shane (Jessica) Siler, Pocatello, Ruth (Herb) Sweeney, Chubbuck, Steven Siler, Boise, Shelly (Mark) Ouma, Meridian, Shawn Siler, Pocatello, Shiree (Josh) Thielbar, Couer dAlene, Sheryl Siler, Texas, Michelle Siler, Chubbuck, Amanda Siler, Inkom; children, Kealey Aveda, Ayden David, and Gracey June; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, E.Ray Robinson, Veda Robinson, Harold Siler and Shirley Erickson. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 4-6 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500. Funeral Services will be on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 2 pm at the LDS Rapid Creek Ward Church, 973 N. Rapid Creek Rd. Inkom, ID 83245 with a viewing for one hour prior to the services.
