Larry Gene Wallace, 55 of Inkom, ID passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Larry was born May 3, 1968, to Bonnie Wallace. He attended school in Pocatello Idaho and graduated from Highland High School in 1986. At age 19 he enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1986 through 1991. Following his service in the US Army he enlisted in the Idaho National Guard while attending Idaho State University, where he graduated with a communications degree. He continued his career as a self-employed businessman with various distribution companies.
Throughout Larry’s life he enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends. He loved fishing, gardening, hiking, skiing, and spending time in the mountains. Some evenings you could catch Larry appreciating a steak and a beer on his back porch, enjoying the beautiful Inkom sunsets with his cockatoo Sadie and his red heeler Hazel.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents David and Bonnie Wallace, as well as grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his siblings Colleen (Dean) Hendrickson, Mandy Horsch, James (Kristina) Wallace, his two nieces, and five nephews.
Larry will be greatly missed by many friends and family for the friendship and laughter he provided.
He will be laid to rest with military honors March 30th, 2024, at 11am in the Inkom cemetery. A potluck celebration of life will follow at the Inkom Community Bible Church. The family requests that if you have any photos of Larry, please bring those to share.
