Lael Kaye Noble, 73, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Pocatello, Idaho, at the family home they purchased in 1942. Lael was born March 18, 1940 in Pocatello. She attended Washington Elementary, Franklin Junior High, and later graduated from Pocatello High School in 1958. She then went on to Idaho State University Vo-Tech and studied Secretarial Services. She lived in California and Salt Lake City, but later retired to Pocatello 10 years ago. Lael was never married. Lael worked at Fred and Kelly's Drive In Restaurant during High school, Mortgage Insurance in Pocatello, Shell Oil in Berkley, California, and Callister, Greene, and Nebeker Law Firm in Salt Lake City, Utah. She moved with J. Thomas Greene to the Federal Court in the 1980's. She was a secretary approximately 40 years. Lael joined Army Reserves in the 1970's and was in JAG Unit in Salt Lake City. She was the President of National Federal Secretary Association in approximately 1990. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in Young Women's, Relief Society, and as a Gospel Doctrine Instructor. Lael loved to bowl with family and friends. She was even on Pocatello's "High 5 Team" in the 60's, where she averaged a score of 180 and earned herself dozens of trophies. She also had a great love of Tennis, Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Golden Eagles Hockey. She liked the Utes more that the Cougars. Lael loved the theartre, especially musicals. She liked going to plays with her friends and family. Lael is survived by her brother, J. Laren and Gloria Noble, Nieces, Kimberly (Brent) Chapman, Christina (Adam) Pereira, J. Brandon (Echo) Noble, and Kathryn (Zach) Ford. Our 17 grandchildren were very important to Lael. She was a favorite Aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Evans Noble and Ruth Edna Lusk, sister, Joyce Rae Darner, and Brother-in-law, Maurice John Darner. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home and will held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, with a viewing being held one hour prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow the services at Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice for their tender care of Lael the past year.
