Laddie "Ladd" Jay Mcmaster

Laddie "Ladd" Jay McMaster, 79, passed away May 11, 2015 after a tragic accident. He passed away at the University Of Utah Burn Center, surrounded by family. He was born on May 12, 1935 in Idaho Falls, ID to John B and Blanche McGregor McMaster. Ladd graduated from Pocatello High in 1954 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He married Diane Cotant on June 12, 1957 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Pocatello until 1964 and then moved to Santa Rosa, CA, where they resided for 30 years. Upon retirement, they returned to Pocatello in 1994. Ladd was an active member of the LDS Church, serving a life in Missionary work and Scouting. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, camping and hunting. He worked as a Dental Lab Technician for 35 years, owning his own business, McMaster Lab, in Santa Rosa. Ladd is survived by his wife, Diane of 58 years; his three children, Sylvia (Steve) Coats of Chubbuck, Julie (Andrew) ONeal of Daniel, WY, Lance (Jennifer) McMaster of Chubbuck; sister, Suezann (Mario) Herrera of Oakland, CA; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his loyal dog, Annie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11 AM at the Kinghorn 29 th Ward LDS Chapel, 1700 Kinghorn Rd. Pocatello, ID 83202 with a viewing from 9:4510:45 AM prior to services. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. 208-233-1500. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LDS Missionary fund, the LDS Humanitarian Aide or the Local Humane Society.
