Kylee Joann Decker

KyLee JoAnn Decker was born on May 18, 2007, in Reno, Nevada. When she was just 2 years old, she moved with her family back to Pocatello and lived here ever since that time. She was adopted by her dad, Wayne Decker, at the age of 5 and became a sister to Payton. KyLee was currently a sophomore at Pocatello High School and was looking forward to graduating and going to college.

KyLee was so talented! She loved art, drawing, paint-by-numbers, and diamond art. She enjoyed reading science fiction books like Michael Vey, four-wheeling, anime, learning Japanese culture and language, making guacamole, and eating spicy food.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and played on the softball team at Pocatello High School.

KyLee was preceded in death by Earl Murray, Dorothy Manning, Claude Manning, Margurite Higley, Joseph Higley, and Fern Lloyd.

She is survived by her mother and father, Wayne and Sabrina Decker, sister Adalyn Decker, and brother Payton Decker, all of Pocatello; grandparents Marlin and Peggy Decker and Paul and Renee Manning, all of Pocatello; grandma Cheryl MacFarlane of Calhoun, Georgia; and great grandma Joan Murray of Pocatello.

KyLee’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Chubbuck 9th Ward, Pocatello High School Softball team and coaches, as well as all their family and friends for the care and concern they have shown during this time.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Chubbuck Stake Center, located at 450 James Avenue in Chubbuck. KyLee's family will receive friends and others at a viewing to be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home in Chubbuck, as well as for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will follow the funeral and will take place at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
