Kyle Dean Packard, 34, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. At the time of his passing, he was married to Nachelle Janea Jones. Kyle is survived by his wife and two children, Evee and Jude. He is also survived by his parents Kevin and Lori Packard and his five siblings Sarah, Daniel, Jessica, Jennifer, and Anna.
Kyle was born on August 24, 1988 in Auburn, Washington to Kevin and Lori Packard. He lived in Coeur d’Alene Idaho, Farmington Utah, Rexburg Idaho, Idaho Falls Idaho, Twin Falls Idaho, and Richland and Graham Washington. He graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. On the evening of his senior prom, Kyle sustained serious injuries in an automobile accident that claimed the lives of two close friends. Thereafter, this incident defined much of his life and was the onset of many years of physical pain and psychological distress.
Kyle was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following High School and his recovery, he served a two-year proselyting mission in London, England. Some of his most fond memories were of those years he spent serving and helping others. Kyle was a member of Boy Scouts of America and received his Eagle Award and Bronze Palms.
Kyle continued his education in Nursing at Brigham Young University-Idaho where he met Nachelle, who later became the love of his life. Kyle and Nachelle were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple on February 12, 2010. Their 13 years of marriage blessed their home with two beautiful children, Evee and Jude, and countless happy experiences that will bring warm memories in years to come.
Kyle graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing and continued his education at Idaho State University where he completed substantially all coursework towards earning his Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.). Kyle loved his education and teaching others. During much of the time he was working on his master’s degree, he was also a member of the faculty at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls Idaho where he taught classes in clinical nursing.
In his early career, Kyle worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Units at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls Idaho, Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg Idaho, St Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls Idaho, and Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland Washington. Later, he served in various nursing positions at assisted living facilities located in Richland and Seattle Washington. At the time of his passing, Kyle was Director of Nursing at the Brookdale Assisted Living Center located in Federal Way, Washington.
Kyle was a loving husband and gentle father. He enjoyed outings with his wife and children and attending activities in which they were engaged. He was in frequent contact with his parents and siblings and looked to them for love and strength. From his education and many years of career experience, Kyle became the most accomplished nurse they know. Kyle was also an organ donor and, in his final act of nursing, hopes that his passing brings life and health to others he did not know.
He will be dearly missed.
