Kurt Leroy Sorenson

Kurt LeRoy Sorenson, 60, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on January 27, 2018.

Kurt was born November 6, 1957, to Jack V and Ruth Harmon Sorenson. Kurt attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High School in 1976. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree from Idaho State University as an electrical engineer. Kurt earned his way through college working at Grand Central/Fred Meyer in Pocatello and finished his career as an engineer at Virginia Transformer (previously US Transformer), Pocatello.

Kurt is survived by his sister Jackie Sanders of Pocatello, Mark Sorenson of Pocatello, and Tim (Lori) Sorenson of Idaho Falls, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Sorenson, sister Tammy Shell, and brother-in-law Larry Sanders.

Kurt was a kind, generous, quiet son, brother, and uncle. He was always there when his family needed him. He will be remembered by his family as loving 60s and 70s music. His siblings remember many times going to his house and him making them play "name that tune". He used to crank his stereo up so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. He always won that game. Kurt also loved playing computer games, watching sports, and watching movies, but Kurt's first love was his fur baby bulldogs. He adored his fur babies and they were his loyal companions. They were always there to keep him company and give him that unconditional love.

Kurt requested no services be held; however, his family would like to include in this obituary the names of the pallbearers. They are all nephews: Chris Sanders, Jason Sanders, Brandon Sorenson, Dallas Sorenson, Denton Sorenson, Josh Shell, Shawn Shell, Mike Shell, Nicholas Shell
