Her father served in the U.S. Navy and then had a successful plumbing service company in Tualatin, Oregon. Her mother worked in the office of the plumbing business, was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. Kris graduated from Lake Oswego High School and was later an active member of her high school reunion committee. She participated in the local 4H community where she and her beloved horse Tygh competed and won local equestrian events. Kris was quite an athlete throughout her life. She loved snow skiing, water skiing and in her later years enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling with her friends, the Dam Fools Club Aka West Magic Lake Rec Club. Kris loved her Petrinize dog, Opal, whom she spent lots of time with going for walks and swimming and traveling.
In 1966 she married and started a family with Dennis “Denny” Vroman of Coos Bay, Oregon who owned a prosperous painting contract company. Kris worked part time as a bank teller for the U.S. Bank of Oregon for over 20 years while raising her family. She and Denny are preceded in life by their daughter, Leslie Wren Vroman 57 and son, Alan Johnathan Vroman 56, both residing in Idaho. Kris has three grandchildren, Savanah Hall, Sawyer Hall, and Dakota Davis whom she treasured. She was the favorite fun Aunt, to her nieces Kelly Hoaglin and Laura Finn.
Kris made friends easily and anyone that met her was drawn to her by her energetic and vivacious personality. She was a kind, loving and helpful person who was always there for her mother until the end.
Her family wants to extend a warm appreciation to the Hospice Organization and to her dear friend, Janet, who dedicated her time and loving care to Kris in her final days. They also thank everyone for all the kind words, cards, and support.
