Kodie Parker

Kodie Parker, 60, of Chubbuck, passed away on April 25, 2019.

Kodie was born on November 30, 1958, in Nampa, Idaho. During her life, she moved to Rock Springs Wyoming, Montpelier Idaho, Pocatello Idaho, a short time in Tacoma Washington, and then back to Pocatello for the remainder of her life.

Kodie married Jack E. Turner on July 19, 1974. Together they had a son, Jack E. Turner Jr. They divorced in 1980. Kodie then married Donald Varney on June 21, 1985. They later divorced in 1989.

During her life, Kodie enjoyed playing cards with friends, spending time with family, traveling, lunch dates with friends, and playing slots.

Kodie is survived by her son Jack E. (Misty) Turner, grandchildren Michael Turner, Tyler (Leanna Leonard) Turner, great-granddaughter Sativa Turner, niece Finnette (Justin) Cook, great nieces Joscelynn, Cassidy and Olivia Cook, nephew Michael Shane Parker II, and niece Angela Parker Brown. She was preceded in death by her father Oscar Derell Parker, mother Katherine Jane Perkins, brother Michael Shane Parker, and sister Jacqueline Kaye Parker.

The family wishes to thank the Idaho Kidney Institute and Encompass Home Health and Hospice for their kind assistance to Kodie.

Funeral services will be held in her honor at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. A time for visitation with the family will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3rd and beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Her interment will follow the services at the Montpelier Cemetery, in Montpelier, Idaho.
