Khamkhith Vorachack passed away on Friday afternoon, December 30, 2022, and is now with loved ones in heaven.
She was a great cook and enjoyed sharing her Laotian culinary talents with family and friends. Some might argue that her eggroll recipe was unbeatable among other dishes she made.
Southern California served as a second home for her, especially during the summer months when she would go and visit family. Most of her fifteen siblings lived there along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, so it would always be an instant family reunion. She enjoyed her time there and tried to go visit as often as she could.
Back here at home, she liked going to Fort Hall on occasion, enjoyed attending Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, visiting with friends and family, and planting gardens. Needless to say, she’ll be greatly missed.
Khamkhith is survived by her daughter, Sotsay (Darren) Jenks, and son, Souriyo KhamphouvongKhampine; three grandchildren, Dawsen and Darreka Jenks, and Kobe KhamphouvongKhampine; four siblings in California and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her death were her parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
A Gathering of Friends & Family luncheon will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11 am to 2 pm in the cultural hall at 13979 W Siphon Rd (LDS church building on the corner of Philbin and Siphon).
