Kevin Ekstrom

Kevin Alan Ekstrom, 48, passed away at his home from a brief illness on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. He was born November 8, 1960 in Ogden, Utah the youngest of three children to Lamont Clair and Barbara Elaine (Burnett) Ekstrom. He was raised in Syracuse and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1979. Kevin was active in FFA and loved ornamental horticulture. He married Alecia Lynn Shaw August 9, 1980 in Utah. Together they were blessed with three children; Tyson, Jason, and Cassie. Kevin was employed primarily at Idaho Business Systems and more recently Convergys and Varsity Contractors. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel. The Lava Gang Gunfighters was a passion of his and a re-enactment of Old West Gunfights which was followed up by gun safety for young kids. He was also a past President of the Lava Hot Springs Chamber Of Commerce. Kevin was easy to laugh; he was a big teddy bear. He was a special husband, father, brother and uncle.
