Kevin Douglas Mccarthy

Kevin Douglas McCarthy, 63, passed away at his home on Monday January 5, 2009. Kevin was born on December 18, 1945 to William & Catherine McCarthy in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada. The family came to California in 1957. He graduated from Magnolia High School and joined the Air Force in 1964. He became an Air Craft Mechanic in the service and went to work for American Airlines after his service.

He married Janis Spielman in 1968 and settled in Irvine, California. Kevin loved to go hunting and fishing with his friends and family.

Kevin is survived by; children, Donald (Shannon) McCarthy, TN, Karen (Chris) Walls, California, Richard (Kara) McCarthy, VA; siblings, Barbara Bowden, Idaho, William McCarthy, Idaho, Linda Larson, Colorado, Rob McCarthy, Oregon, Mary Lawler, Idaho, Barry McCarthy, Idaho, Maureen Green, Idaho; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his mother and father; sisters, Sheila Phillips, Mary B.; and brothers Michael F. and David J.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. today January 10, 2009 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Community St. Joseph's Chapel at 455 N. Hayes Ave. Pocatello. Interment will follow in the Mountainview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck.
