Kerry Heintz

July 10, 1957 — January 30, 2021

Kerry Paul Heintz 1957-2021

Kerry Paul Heintz was born on July 10, 1957, in Great falls, MT. to Mary Jo McNaughton and Alvin J Heintz.
He was blessed with younger siblings Cammy Willmore, Chris Heintz, and Michael Heintz.

From Great falls, Kerry's family lived in multiple states including California and Nevada before coming to Idaho.
Kerry attended High School at South Freemont High in St. Anthony where he played football.

After high school he attended Idaho State University where he achieved his Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. While at ISU Kerry became a brother of the Sigma Nu fraternity.

After college graduation Kerry took an internship at Ernst Home Center in the Pocatello Mall.

This is where Kerry met his future wife of 38 years, Connie Anthony. His rock.

After leaving Ernst, he worked at Associates Finance before making his way to Farmers Insurance where he was promoted up to the Auto/Fire Underwriting Supervisor. His career lasted 29 years where he cemented valuable relationships and was known by his colleagues as a wonderful and caring supervisor.

After meeting Connie at Ernst, they soon started dating. Within the year they were engaged and then married on June 19, 1982, where they began their journey together.

In the spring of 1985, Kerry and Connie found out they were to be parents. On December 6, 1985, Kerry became a father to his son Brandon. Three years later he was blessed with a daughter, Chalane, on September 18, 1988. A whole new chapter of their journey began.

Kerry was an exceptionally proud and devoted father, who took on the responsibility of watching the kids while Connie worked nights and weekends. He assistant coached Brandon and his teams throughout his youth including baseball, and basketball. Kerry always placed his family first, secondary to none.

Kerry enjoyed sports but his biggest joy was being outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or camping; this is where he most wanted to be with his family and his four-legged companions, Hydro and D.O.G. Kerry was also well known for his keen eye while thrifting and shopping as well as his gift giving.

In November 2010, Kerry became a Grandfather for the first time to Brandon's Daughter, Luna. He then acquired another Granddaughter, Sailas through Luna's mom Chelsea's marriage to Joel; and he proudly accepted the role. October 03, 2015, Chalane gave birth to a baby boy she named Laker, giving Kerry his very first Grandson. Two months later he gained yet another Grandson on December 28, 2015 when Chelsea gave birth to her son Odin. Being a Grandfather was one of his greatest qualities.

Upon retirement Kerry took up his health as a priority and became the strongest and healthiest he had been in his life. He had recently bench pressed 350 lbs. at Golds Gym where he frequented and developed his mind, body, and soul. The gym had become his stomping grounds where he continued his legacy of deep personal relationships and his desire to connect on a human level.

As a life long Catholic, Kerry decided in early 2020 to volunteer his time at his church, Holy Spirit Catholic Community (St Anthony), as a Lecture which brought him much peace and solitude.

In August 2020 he achieved his dream of purchasing a cabin with a spectacular view in Island Park, Idaho. He and Connie spent the rest of the summer enjoying nature and each other's company.

Kerry will always be remembered throughout his community as a loving and compassionate Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend. He will live on through his massive family that extends far beyond blood, including relationships from the present and the past filled with spectacular stories. Stories abound with joy, laughter, tears, heartache, sorrow, and peace. There were likewise some shenanigans and hellraising along the way. His life was an inspiration to all to never stop achieving.
He and Connie's love with last eternally.

Kerry is Survived by his Wife Connie and Daughter Chalane, his Mother Mary Jo, Sister Cammy, Brother Chris, his four Grandchildren, his dog D.O.G., as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his Father Alvin, his Brother Mike, His son Brandon, and his best four-legged pal Hydro.
