Kenneth Wright

Kenneth Neil Wright, 71, Pocatello, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Portneuf Medical Center. Ken was born December 18, 1946 in Medford, Oregon son of Neil and Joanna Wright. In 1960 his parents moved to Wilder, where he attended Wilder High School. After graduation he entered the service and served three tours in Vietnam. He served on the USS Saint Paul, later the Seabees, and finished on the USS enterprise. He married Jeannie Shorb of Greenleaf, Idaho, June 25, 1973. After serving 18 years in the military they moved back to Caldwell, Idaho in 1981. Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the mountains, gold panning, and talking with his sons about history. He was an avid reader and loved to read. Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Wright, Pocatello; two sons, Sean Wright, and Shane Wright, Pocatello; brother, Wade (Debbie) Wright, Wilder, Idaho; sister, Joline MacDonald, Nampa, Idaho; three grandchildren, Tyler Young, Idaho Falls, Donnavun Wright, Pocatello, Courtney Wright, Nampa, Idaho; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; both grandparents; and a brother, Mervin H. Wright. Services we will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 15862 Indiana Ave. Caldwell, Idaho 83607.
