Kenneth Paul Pehrson, 83, of Chubbuck, passed away, April 3, 2022 at his home.
Kenneth Paul Pehrson was the 11th of 12 siblings born in Pocatello, Id. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1958. He joined the United States Navy right after high school. Ken was stationed in Portsmouth VA, where he met his first wife, Brenda.
Brenda and Ken were married in 1961. Together they had 5 children, Kenny Jr, Larry, Linda, Barbie and Annie.
In 1962, he transferred to the Navy Reserves. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, he joined the United States Air Force in 1963, where he served for 2 years.
After several moves, Ken and Brenda settled in Pocatello, ID. Together they raised their 5 children with the help of his many beloved siblings. In 1968, he began his 30-year career with the United States Post Office.
Brenda and Ken eventually divorced. Later, on November 1, 1986, Ken met his soul mate, Wanda. They were so sure of each other that they married the next month, on December 26, 1986. Ken and Wanda remained married until his death.
Ken was a lover of the outdoors. He loved camping, square dancing, fishing, and gardening. Most of all, Ken loved his family.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Joseph, 10 of his siblings, and as his stepson, Tracy Holcomb.
He is survived by his precious wife, Wanda, his youngest sister and beloved sister, Alice, his children Kenny Jr, Larry, Linda, Barbie, Annie, and his stepchildren, Lydia and John. He has 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild and a great-great grandchild on the way.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID. Family will meet with friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
A reception will be held following the graveside service at the Idaho Grand, 1339 Bench Rd in Pocatello. Food will be provided.
