Kenneth "Ken" Pevo Sr.

Kenneth Richard Pevo Sr., 81, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 in Pocatello. Kenneth was born on January 6, 1936 to Hugh and Mae Lipps Pevo. He was the 3 rd of 4 siblings. He married Elaine Pabawena and together they raised 9 children. Kenneth was employed with the BIA and was a range rider for the Fort Hall/Bannock Creek Cattlemen Association. He also worked for Clinger Farms for numerous years as well as running his own ranch. He was active in playing stickgames and attending basketball games. He enjoyed and loved watching his grandchildren play in various sports. In his spare time, he enjoyed making roaches for his sons and grandsons, tanning hides and working with raw hide and the casino. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Elaine Pevo; daughters, Berdleen (Dan) Sorrell, Trema (Oren) Washakie, Alberta (Ted) Williams, Susan Pevo, Daedo Pevo; sons, Johnie Pevo, Bob Pevo, Steele (Wendy) Martin; sister, Angela (Dale) Shavanaux; numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mae (Lipps) Pevo; sisters, Dorothy Pevo George, Ruby Gladys Pevo; brother, Herbert Wilford Pevo; daughter, Delphina J. Pevo Cootes; sons, Kenneth Richard Pevo Jr. and John J. Pevo. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 12 noon also at Colonial Funeral Home with a viewing for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Bannock Creek Cemetery at 2 pm.
