Kenneth E. Tillotson

September 2, 1933 — March 8, 2014

Kenneth E. Tillotson, 80, was reunited with his loving wife, Donna, on March 8, 2014. She has been waiting nearly 20 years to go "boot-scooting" with him again.

Ken was born and raised in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. He graduated from lava High School in 1951. In 1954, he met and married the love of his life, Donna Severe. They were blessed with 3 children, Connie, Bryan and Deanna. During his life, he worked in several different professions to provide for his family: logging, long-haul truck driver, heavy equipment operator, construction and operated the Spa Swimming Pool and Conoco Service Station in Lava. He retired from his job with the City of Lava in 1996 and continued to do excavation work, which he enjoyed, for several years. In 1998, Ken married Beverly Mills. They were later divorced, but remained friends.

Ken loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was very talented at wood-crafting – if you could think of it, he could make it. He loved to share the things he made with family and friends and to sell them at craft shows. He liked to cook, go camping and fishing and hunted in his younger days. Ken was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed.

Ken's final days were spent surrounded by family, friends and those who lovingly cared for him at Monte Vista Hills Healthcare. Ken's family would like to thank Dr. LaVonne Mills, the nurses and CNA's at Monte Vista Hills and the staff of Heritage Home Health & Hospice for the loving care they gave Ken.

He is survived by his children: Connie Fisher and her husband Ben, Bryan Tillotson and his wife Sam and Deanna Frandsen and her husband, Billy Thompson; 8 grandchildren: Kelly & Scott Fisher, Tad (Ellie), Matt (Ashley), Chance (Amanda) & Trevor Tillotson, Alisha Frandsen Steich (John) and Tommy Frandsen (Beth); 12 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Colby & Aaron Steich; Jaxon, Carter & Bentley Tillotson, Nick & James Gove, Aaron & Maddie Smith, and Taylor & Halle Fisher; sisters: Della Fellows, Bonnie Neeser & Ruby Dildine, brother, Ronnie Tillotson; good friend, Beverly Tillotson and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents, Bob and Delsa Tillotson; brothers, Bob and Harold; and sisters, Dorothy Keller, Marie Craig and Darlene Crump.

As per Ken's wishes, he has been cremated. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Lava Hot Springs LDS Church. The family will receive friends one our prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road.
