Kelvin Dean Knight

April 1, 1959 — February 3, 2025

Pocatello

Kelvin Dean Knight of Pocatello, Idaho died February 3, 2025 following a brief illness.

He was born on April 1, 1959 in Boise, Idaho. His parents were Dean William Knight and Kareen Lalliss Knight. He was the oldest of seven children and raised in the Idaho Falls area. He graduated from Skyline High School in 1977.

Kelvin married Tressia Graham on December 6, 1997, in Pocatello. Kelvin has three sons, Christopher, Nicholas, and Timothy from a previous marriage.

Kelvin loved the outdoors and was an adventurous and great skier when his legs cooperated but moved on to snowmobiles when they didn’t. He loved anything with an engine, including motorcycles, cars, and trucks. His first career was painting cars in Osgood. He loved making used cars shine and even painted his parent’s cars for them using leftover paint. When the fumes began to irritate his lungs, Kelvin found a successful and lasting career as a trucker for Doug Andrus, May Trucking, Burggraf Enterprises, Empire, and finally Handy Truck Line, Inc.

Kelvin is survived by his wife, Tressia Graham Knight; sons Christopher (Kendra) Knight, Nicholas (Amanda) Knight, and Timothy Knight; his mother Kareen Knight; his siblings Cindy Daly, Celeste Peterson, Collin (Melissa) Knight, Rachelle (Brett) Child, and Alicia (Garry) Cunningham; and his grandkids Trayden, Jayden, Josh, Heyden, Raiden, Karelyn, Joseph, Paisley, Riley, Everlee and McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean William Knight; father-in-law, Roy Alan Graham; and brother Lance William Knight.

Throughout his life, Kelvin was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart and sense of humor. His heart and laugh will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a loving, loyal, and kind son to the very end of his life.
