Keith Lamar Paulsen

April 13, 1962 — May 13, 2014

On Tuesday May 13, 2014, exactly one month after his 52nd birthday, Keith L. Paulsen gracefully departed this earth to the arms of his Heavenly Father as well as his parents, Ray & Naomi Paulsen and many other loved ones who passed before. Keith is preparing a way for and waiting with his arms open wide…

Keith was born April 13, 1962 in Pocatello, Idaho where he was raised and attended schools. He graduated from Highland High School in 1979 and shortly after served an LDS mission in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Idaho State University with an Associate's in Diesel Electric Power Generation Paralleling switch.

On St. Patrick's Day in 1986 he proposed to his sweetheart and best friend, Lynell Kaye Hatch. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 16, 1986. Above all else it was obvious that he loved and adored his wife and eternal companion. They were always together. His world revolved around his wife and hers around him. They were blessed with three children; Danica, Levi & Shayla.

Keith lived life with a non-stop smile on his face or in his eyes. To him life was about laughter, he loved jokes and funny stories. Of course no joke was ever as funny as when he told it….
He loved all of his family. His big heart was needed to be able to fit all of his very large family there. If Keith picked on you, even once, it was a sure sign of his love. He loved all. He will be remembered by his constant teasing, his warm big hugs, twinkling eyes, booming voice that carried for miles (he couldn't seem to master the whisper, even when it was needed). Keith loves his children with all of his heart. He would do anything for them. In Heaven he will continue his work sending messages to help guide them to our heavenly home.

With 30 years work experience Keith was an expert in his field, though his family couldn't explain exactly what he did. He was certified in many things, too many to list. He had a wealth of knowledge and an "I'm the leader, I'll decide" attitude. He was never shy or embarrassed. He was the type that never got even…just ahead.

Keith had an active mind that held a firm grasp of the scriptures, mechanics, science and much more. He was a man of great faith.

He became a grandpa last February. He loved to play with is grandson and was eager to take him fishing. Keith was excited that his grandson finally became old enough to rough house. One of his main conversation points was his grandson. He had wanted to hear Quillen say "Papa," since his passing Quillen won't stop saying it.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Paulsen family, the Sturmans and other numerous friends for all their support.

Keith is survived by: his wife, Lynell Kaye Paulsen, Riverton, UT; daughters, Danica Lyn (Brandon) Ingram, Salt Lake City, UT, & Shayla Rae Paulsen, Riverton, UT; son, Levi Scott Paulsen, Riverton, UT; grandson, Quillen Rea Ingram; brothers, Evan Paulsen, Brian Paulsen, Blaine Paulsen & Duane Paulsen, all of Idaho; sister, LaDawn Royer, of California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents; brother, Arlon Paulsen; great-niece Jasmine Laing and many other very special family members.
