After a long valiant battle with cancer, Kay passed away quietly the evening of December 10, 2013. Kay Loomis Bridger, was born February 13th 1941 in Salt Lake City Utah, to Joseph H. and Ruth M. Loomis. The Loomis family moved to Pocatello when Kay was 4, where she lived the rest of her life. Kay attended St. Joseph Catholic School through the 8th grade. She then attended Pocatello High School where she was active in Pep Club, Drill Team, and many other activities. She made many great friends who remained close throughout her life. In 1960, Kay married Jim Madson and had 2 daughters, Jonelle and Kari. They divorced in 1966. Soon after, Kay met the love of her life Lynn Bridger. They were married in June of 1968. Together, they had 1 son, Shawn. Lynn and Kay operated Bridger Auto Body and Bridger Auto Sales until they both retired. Kay loved spending summers in Lake Powell with family and friends. Lake Powell will always be a special place. As a family, they also loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Kay was always up for anything to do with the outdoors, and of course shopping. Kay is survived by her husband Lynn; daughters, Jonelle Buchta and Kari Cole; son, Shawn Bridger and daughter-in-law Kayelynn Bridger; grandsons, David and Thadius Buchta, and nephews Riley Cooper and Paxton Dunkley. She was preceded in death by her parents , Joseph and Ruth Loomis; step-father Stanley Larner, and grandson, Seth Duchta. Kay was an only child, but had many "sisters". Sandy R, Renee P, Marylou D, Sherry P, Vicki H, Tyke B, Dawn S, Jeanette M, Vicky K, Carol L, Penny B, Carol B, Georgia , Sandy M, and many others. Thank you for all the wonderful trips, talks, laughter, and tears. I love you all. She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. As her wishes, Kay will be cremated and the family will receive friends at Remax Realtors, 812 E. Clark Street, on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2pm through 7pm. food and beverages will be provided for this casual affair. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Kay's name to the Pocatello Food Bank at 555 s 1st, Pocatello, ID 83201 She left as a queen!!
