Katie Christensen Allen, 36, passed away October 18, 2017 in Pocatello, ID. She was born on Halloween night, 1980, in Pocatello and was nicknamed "The Spook". She was the 5 th of 8 children born to Virginia and Larry Christensen. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Irving Jr. High, and Pocatello High School. She was the Sophomore and Junior Class President, Student Body Chief Clerk, National Honor Society Vice President, on the Varsity Volley Ball Team, Senior Choir and voted "Friendliest Girl" at Pocatello High School. She competed in gymnastics, and was known to be able to hold a handstand longer than anyone else in the gym besides Ben. Katie attended BYU Idaho, BYU Hawaii (breaking the fun meter), and graduated from ISU in Public Health. Upon graduation she worked as a PSR worker. Katie married Jacob Ball in 2003 and was blessed with 3 beautiful children; Andrew Christian, Cameron, and Payden Jonathan Ball. These kids were her life, breath, and the meaning for her existence! The marriage later ended in divorce. Katie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society, Young Womens, Primary and sang in several Choirs. She enjoyed working at the Pocatello Idaho Mission Home. Katie married Trever Allen, an adoring, wonderful man, in 2016. He brought 2 of his own beautiful children into the mix, Zoe and Trenton. She is survived by her children, Andrew, Cameron, Payden, Zoe and Trenton; husband, Trever Allen; parents, Larry and Ginny Christensen; siblings, David Christensen (Katuska), Salt Lake, Ben Christensen (Natalie), Pocatello, Ann Tafelelmar (Peter), Pocatello, Jill Winegar (Dee), Caldwell, Scott Christensen (Stephanie), Burley, Ali Shaw (Mike), Glendale, AZ, Stacey Brown (James), Gainesville, FL; 32 nieces and nephews, lots of aunts, uncles & cousins. We love you and miss you, Beautiful Katie!! A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 1 pm at the LDS Chapel, 1433 Gwen Dr. Pocatello, ID 83204, with a viewing for one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Goshen Cemetery in Shelley, ID.
