Kathleen Smith

Kathleen (Kathy) Smith, 63, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center. She was born in Rigby, ID on September 22, 1951 to the late Ursul and Verenna Wheeler. She grew up with her brothers and sisters in Pocatello, ID. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969. She married her sweetheart, Jerry D. Smith, in 1981 and together they raised 6 wonderful children. Jerry preceded her in death in August of 2001. She enjoyed bowling and was very talented at anything that had to do with crafts. Kathy was most happy when she was outdoors. She loved camping, fishing, having BBQs, playing cards and doing anything to spend time with friends and family. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Tracy) Hall of Shelley, ID, Terry Smith of Sherwood, AR, Chris (Misty) Smith of Pocatello, ID, Kelli (Eric) Holbrook, of Hamlin, TX, Luke (Casseen) Smith of Nampa, ID, and Holli (Aaron) Harnsberger of Pocatello, ID. Besides her children, Kathleen will be missed by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathy's death will leave a hole in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500 with a viewing from 12:30 1:30 PM prior to the service.
