Katelyn Nicole Keller, 2 years old, Pocatello, Idaho, went home to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the home of her great Grandpa Wyas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Katelyn was born, October 6, 2006 in Pocatello, Idaho. Scott and Jennifer Keller added her to their family of Carson, and Karlee, and Katelyn became a big sister to Kortney just four months ago.
Katelyn taught those around her how to love deeper, hug like a bear, run to those you love with your arms wide open, and the joy of life. Most evenings, you could find her cruising the neighborhood on her motorcycle with her dad who she adored. She loved to dance and any upbeat music would move her to her feet for a display of her talent which was considerable. She knew the joy of tossing water balloons from her grandparent's deck on hot summer days, swinging high enough to touch the birds, and waving to the trains that passed by her Grandpa Bill's field in McCammon. She was a favorite cousin and niece and was more than a casual friend to everyone regardless of age or culture. She loved quiet moments with her mother as she learned stories from books. She was an excellent communicator though she confused her pronouns to the delight of all that knew better. No one ever corrected her. It was Katelynesse at its finest. She is widely quoted. "I sleep in you bed. I go to you house. No, I not. and before little sister Kortney was born, Katelyn told us that "she baby in she belly." She looked forward to Halloween when she planned to be "Pinkerbelle". Selected over all the princesses she knew of, Katelyn admired Tinkerbelle for her skills of flight. "Think of all the joy you'll find when you leave this world behind, and you bid your fears good-bye. You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!"
