Karen Kennedy

CHUBBUCK- Karen Rae Kennedy, 64, was called back to her Heavenly home the morning of Dec. 24, 2011. Her unexpected passing was sudden and quick.

Karen was the oldest of two girls born of Ronald and Ruth (Gear) Lewis in Pocatello on November 21, 1947. Karen grew up in Pocatello with her sister Rene and made many lasting friendships that have been with her throughout the years. Most notably her husband Robert.

They were married in 1967 and started their family. Her sons Darin and Bryan were quickly followed by Scott but her home and her heart had room for more and many came to call her Mom. Her boys brought her six wonderful grandkids (Kevin, Megan, Tyler, Shawn, Jeffrey and Braedon) that became her life. Most notably her "Ty-boy" whom she helped to raise.

She freely gave of herself and lived a life worth praise and rememberance. She will be sorely missed by all.

Memorial services for Karen will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Calvary Chapel in Pocatello, 1633 Olympus Drive. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, 238-8000.
